Timber Flooring

Timber Flooring

Timber flooring, usually known as “hardwood flooring,” is a type of floorboard composed entirely of solid timber from slow-growing trees. Hardwood timber flooring is heavier than other floorboards and has a delicate and lovely texture.
Hardwood flooring is the traditional type of Timber floor made from single pieces of timber. Their solid construction makes them highly durable, and they can be sanded and refinished numerous times. Hardwood flooring has the potential to last for centuries.
Solid wood can be sanded and polished numerous times, making it a floor that will last a lifetime. In most cases, 19mm thick timber boards can be resanded up to five times.

Engineered timber is considered the more affordable and apartment-friendly version of solid timber. The difference is that engineered timber has a thin veneer of real timber surface fused to a regular plywood core, whereas solid timber is made of real wood all the way throughout the plank.

Engineered timber is considered the more cost-effective and apartment-friendly alternative to solid wood. The distinction is that solid wood is made entirely of real wood, whereas engineered wood has a thin veneer of real wood surface fused to a typical plywood core.

The type of wood and the quality of the coatings determine the endurance of timber wood flooring. The Janka Rating method is intended to assess the hardness of natural wood products such as hardwoods, softwoods, engineered wood, and bamboo flooring.
According to studies, solid wood flooring boosts the resale value of a home more than any other form of flooring. This is likely because solid wood flooring can survive for decades and be refreshed with sand and polish every few years.
